First awarded in 2011, this year the Tokyo Frontline Photo Award will mark its seventh anniversary and prestigious jurors will be invited. The award is known for singling out photographers that strive for the highest quality and present innovative ideas, and it is bestowed upon those who will break new ground for the future of photo art. We aim to discover and support these ambitious, talented artists who will take on the world.

Application Process

​

1、The application is open to all, irrespective of age, nationality, or career level (professional, amateur).

2、Please write all the necessary information on the application form and send it along with your portfolio to the committee’s office.
*Applications must arrive no later than Monday, Jul 31th. Download the application form here.

3、Submission limit: only 1 portfolio or Photo zine within A3 size, with a maximum of 50 pages may be submitted.

4、Application Fee: 5,000 JPY (including tax).

5、Portfolios or Photo zine will be sent back at the end of the public screening. 
*Please include either a self-addressed stamped envelope, or cash on delivery slip (with the address written).

Winner’s Privilege

-Artist name  who won the Grand Prize will be announced officially on the TOKYO FRONTLINE HP/Facebook page.

-G/P gallery (newroom) in Ebisu will produce a solo exhibition for the artist who received the Grand Prize.

-Excellent artwork selected by the jurors will be assisted in producing photo zine by G/P gallery (newroom) .
